In quantitative analysis of amino acids using LC/MS/MS, multiple ion monitoring (MRM) method has been used for highly sensitive and selective detection. In this method, it is possible to analyze about 30 kinds of compounds in one analysis. For the MRM analysis, it is needed to determine the target analytes before the measurement. Therefore, unknown and unexpected metabolites could not be analyzed by MRM. Since comprehensive analysis is required to elucidate the disease in metabolomics, not only amino acids but other compounds such as lipids should be detected. In this study, we suggest the LC/MS with ion mobility for highly sensitive and selective non-target analysis.
