Information about the 70th Annual Conference on Mass Spectrometry
With the outbreak of COVID-19 continuing at a high level, we understand that you may be concerned about the format of the 70th Annual Conference on Mass Spectrometry. Despite these circumstances, the Executive Committee of the 70th Annual Conference and the Board of Directors of the Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan have decided that the conference is to be physically held as on-site conference in Fukuoka as planned, based on the idea that we would like everyone to have a discussion on mass spectrometry face-to-face. Since we cannot predict how the outbreak of COVID-19 will develop in the future, we will prepare three types of plans for the on-site conference depending on the situation of COVID-19: a regular conference, a partially modified conference, and a drastically modified conference. Of course, we will also make preparations for infection control measures in cooperation with Fukuoka International Congress Center, such as submitting health condition questionnaires and improving the venue environment, so that everyone can participate with peace of mind (Fukuoka International Congress Center's measures to prevent new coronavirus infection: https://www.marinemesse.or.jp/topics/view.php?id=175).
We would like to remind you that the deadline for abstract submission is Thursday, March 17, 17:00 (without extension).
Finally, we would like to express my sincere gratitude for all the cooperation and support we have received for organizing this conference, and the organizing committee members look forward to seeing you at the conference.
The organizing committee chair of the 70th Annual Conference on Mass Spectrometry
