13C-tracer Analysis of Phospholipids by LC-QTOF/MS

A 13C-tracer analysis using mass spectrometry was developed for investigating dynamics of lipid metabolism in budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a model eukaryote organism. Labeling ratio of 9 phospholipids and glycerolipids (PA, PG, PS, PC, PE, PI, DAG, TAG and CL) was determined based on the incorporation of [U-13C]glucose using LC-QTOF/MS.
