Mass spectrometry is the effective analysis tool to get information on the structure and the concentration of the pharmaceuticals. It's also useful for the stability assessment of them. In this study, stability assessment of metoclopramide in injectable-mixed high-calorie infusion was performed by LTQ Orbitrap Discovery LC-MS/MS system. The remains rate of metoclopramide in high-calorie infusion including glucose fell remarkably under the acid condition. A new peak was appeared with a remains rate decline of metoclopramide. Analysis by LTQ Orbitrap Discovery LC-MS/MS system revealed that this peak was the condensation product of metoclopramide and glucose.
