Sunscreens are developed by combining various ingredients such as UV absorbers, particles, and oils. In this study, in order to investigate the most effective state of sunscreen performance, we attempted to visualize the distribution of various ingredients in sunscreen using Mass Spectrometry Imaging(MSI). As a result,DIUTHAME (desorption ionization using a through-hole alumina membrane) was shown to be a useful tool for clearly detecting the ingredients of sunscreen on the skin, as well as for monitoring the condition of sunscreen
coating.
