Detailed Structural Analysis in Small Changes of Polyethylene Terephthalate Induced by UV Irradiation Using Reactive Pyrolysis GC-MS
The polymers will be degraded by the effects of light, oxygen, heat, etc. It is important to evaluate the chemical structure changes in polymer due to the degradations. At the 68th and 69th Annual Conference on Mass Spectrometry, we reported the results of degradation analysis of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film irradiated with ultraviolet (UV) light using MALDI-TOFMS and Py-GC-MS. In this report, we describe the results of investigated structural changes by UV irradiation using the reactive pyrolysis GC-MS.
