In this study, Mass Spectrometer with Crossed Electric and Magnetic Fields, the magnetic field, scanning only the electric field is developed. The Mass Spectrometer is very compact which is able to be used for monitoring gas such as Hydrogen. In the present invention, in order to realize a compact and low-cost MS as much as possible, we considered inserting an electric field in a magnetic field interval of 12 mm. The experiment was conducted using a scanning method that changes the deflection electric field and acceleration voltage (using a constant magnetic field), an auxiliary electrode to keep ion beam convergence constant during scanning.
