Development of a method to evaluate antibody diversity in biological samples using MS/MS Clustering
Antibody diversity in the body decreases due to external factors such as overwork, diseases, and stress, and it directly relates to the decline of immunity. Therefore, monitoring the diversity of antibodies is vital for healthcare. However, the existing methods based on nucleotide sequencing does not directly monitor the diversity of circulating antibodies. The variable regions of antibodies contain the numerous mutations, which cannot be identified by database searches used in conventional proteomics. De novo peptide sequences are unreliable yet. Here, we have developed a new simple and cost-effective method for monitoring antibody diversity in biological samples using MS/MS Clustering.
