ガスクロマトグラフ質量分析計を用いた食品メタボローム分析におけるデータ解析の効率化

Metabolomics, which is a comprehensive analysis for metabolites, has been applied to blood and cells for biomarker research, and various foodstuffs and foods for developing novel functional foods and evaluating the sensory quality. The database software "Smart Metabolites Database" for GC/MS and GC-MS/MS developed by Shimadzu Corporation enables a simultaneous analysis by MRM (Multiple Reaction Monitoring) for 475 metabolite components detected from a wide variety of biological samples as previously described, and it has been used for metabolomics research. However, the metabolite components differ depending on the sample material, so that the number of components detected from a food sample is about 20% of the total number of components can be measured by this database. Therefore, to reduce the false positive rate, high analytical skill and long-term data analysis are required to obtain the effective information from the huge data. In order to resolve this problem, we examined a method that can determine whether the target component can be detected in a specific sample material more efficiently based on the Smart Metabolites Database. In this presentation, we report the result of application verification to various foods.
