ガラスチップFAIMSの開発と揮発性有機化合物分析への応用
FAIMS (High field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry) utilizes the characteristics of nonlinear ion mobility at high and low electric fields to separate ions .Since each ion species tends to show a specific pattern of mobility change by an increase in the electric field strength, FAIMS is expected to be applied in a wide range of fields as a compact device for the separation and detection of ions under atmospheric pressure. In this study, we developed a glass chip FAIMS system which consists of a pair of glasses with patterned electrodes. The glass chip FAIMS was used for the separation of the ion species related to several kinds of VOCs.
