A Proposal of Low Vacuum Operable MCPs Applied to Portable Mass Spectrometers

Toward the realization of portable ubiquitous mass spectrometers, the feasibility of microchannel plate-based ion detector for low vacuum operation was verified through measurements using a prototype mass spectrometer.
