High throughput analysis of plastics: A novel technique of pyrolysis and desorption by combining pinpoint flash heating and proximity corona discharge ionization

We developed a new technique with a pinpoint flash heating device attached to a proximity corona discharge ionization-mass spectrometer and applied it to some analysis of several plastics. With this simple and prompt approach, we obtained some critical information of polymers at its narrowest spots: repeating structures and additives
