Clinical N-glycoproteomics for the exploration of diagnostic markers for Pancreatic cancer
Label-free quantitative N-glycoproteomics was performed using serum from patients with advanced pancreatic cancer (PC) and healthy individuals. A total of 6,714 N-glycoforms derived from 501 proteins were identified in patients with advanced PC and healthy individual. We found that mono- or di-sialyl biantennary glycan-modified fibrinogen gamma chain (FGG) was increased in serum from advanced PC group. FGG is expected to be used as a diagnostic marker for PC (Area Under the ROC Curve = 1.0).
