Polyurethane is synthesized from isocyanate and polyol and that is insoluble in many solvents. In this work, we report the results of decomposition of various polyurethanes in subcritical fluid and MS analysis of the decomposition solution. For example, we analyzed flexible polyurethane foam. Monomeric/Polymeric methylenedianiline (MDA) are detected in ESI-TOF-MS, furthermore the polyether polyol is detected in MALDI-TOF-MS. In addition, we also discuss polyester polyol polyurethane, rigid polyurethane foam and polyurethane elastomers.
