In the forensic fields, fibers and hairs left at a crime scene can be important pieces of evidence to solve a case. In particular, the identification of surfactants in fibers and hairs could be useful to identify an individual since surfactants remain as traces of detergent (softener) and shampoo products. In this study, analysis for surfactants in a single-strand fiber and hair was performed using an optimized SFE-SFC-MS/MS procedure.
