Analysis of Micro and Nano Plastics in Wastewater and Dust Using Pyrolysis GC/MS Method

Increased micro and nanoscale plastic pollutions will aggravate ocean and soil problem. The monitoring and reductions of them and the influence on living systems are needed on a global scale.
In this study, we investigated a method for the analyses of small amounts of micro plastics using pyrolysis GC/MS. The method allowed detection of micro- and nano-plastics originated from synthetic fibers in domestic wastewater and dust.
