The AMS with an isobaric separation system based on the interaction of accelerated ions and lasers (photons) was applied successfully to the quantification of 90Sr and 135Cs in samples obtained from the IAEA and other sources. This presentation will give an overview of this analytical technique, the measurement results, the remaining issues, and the applicability of this method in geoscience.
