Contaminations by MOSH/MOAH through direct/indirect contact have become an alarming topic recently. It affects not only the product’s quality but also has a chronic effect when ingested. In this study, novel method analysis of MOSH/MOAH (targeted and non-targeted) using LECO’s Pegasus BT 4D GCxGC TOFMS is discuss. Food samples to be used are curcuma (Curcuma longa) and cumin (Cuminum cyminum) extracts. This novel method helps to unveil the complexity of contaminated food sample, providing superior chromatographic resolution coupled with LECO’s ChromaTOF software to effectively distinguish respective compound families for a reliable and robust result resulting to a reduced error in the identification of MOSH/MOAH compounds.
