Adenylate kinase 1 (AK1) is a highly structural-conserved enzyme involved in energy metabolism and catalyzes the phosphoryl exchange reaction ATP + AMP ↔ 2ADP. The activities of AK1s are controlled by temperature, and the optimum temperature for activity appears to be proportional to body temperature. To elucidate common law of AK1 activities from many species, we analyzed Searching of temperature-sensing regions of AK1 from E. coli, C. Intestinalis, X. laevis, G. gallus, H. Sapiens by MALDI based-H/D exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) and the calculation software “Scipas DX”
