Investigation of the Quality Control Method of Recycled Polypropylene Resins Using Py-GC/TOFMS
To promote the resin material recycling, its quality must be evaluated correctly. Py-GC/TOFMS is effective for the simple and prompt evaluations. In this study, we detected heterogeneous polymers and additives in recycled polypropylene resins by using Kendrick mass defect (KMD) plots and Remainder of Kendrick mass (RKM) plots. In addition, the retention index (RI) plots were introduced for the discrimination of polyethylene in the recycled resins.
