低温イオン移動度質量分析計を用いたプロトン付加ベンゾカイン分子イオンの異性体分離

In producing protonated molecular ions by electrospray ionization (ESI), there are plural protonated structural isomers (protomers) with different protonated substituents. Relative stability of protomers are strongly dependent on solvent, and the population between the protomers were studied in the gas phase by ion mobility mass spectrometry (IMMS). In this study, two protomers of a benzocaine molecule (O- and N-protomers) have been separated by low-temperature IMMS using a home-built apparatus developed recently in our group. In order to study the chemical reactivity difference between the protomers, we are planning to introduce gas molecules or laser pulse after ion mobility separation.
