ヤエヤマサソリ毒液に含まれる新規ホスホリパーゼA2の成熟型構造の決定
Scorpions use venom for prey capture and self-defense. The venom contains many bioactive peptides and proteins. In this study, we isolated a Phospholipase A2, named LaPLA2, was isolated from the venom of the scorpion Liocheles australasiae by RP-HPLC and determined its mature structure by enzymatic digestion and mass spectrometric analysis. As a result, we revealed that LaPLA2 is composed of two subunits, the large one with 101 residues and the small one with 9 residues. We also found that LaPLA2 contains an N-glycan moiety, whose structure was estimated by MS/MS analysis.
