Observation of the early development process of sea urchin egg by using imaging mass spectrometry with DIUTHAME
One of the most popular experiments in egg development experiment is the occurrence of sea urchin. In this study, we investigated time course occurring between fertilized eggs and cleavage initiation in SALDI-IMS using DIUTHAME (Desorption Ionization Using Through Hole Alumina Membrane) developed by Imaging Mass Microscope and Hamamatsu Photonics. As a result, we found that pentose phosphate pathway occurs as surface reaction.
