Proton transfer reaction in HF clusters bound with negative atmospheric ions Y-
Hydrogen fluoride clusters (HF)n form strong hydrogen-bond systems and zig-zag structure. The HF clusters have served as important prototypes for researching hydrogen-bond systems and weak binding interactions between polar molecules. Here we measured complexes Y-(HF)n between atmospheric negative ions Y- (O2-,HCO2-,and NO2-) and HF clusters (HF)n , using a HF generator and an atmospheric pressure corona discharge ionization mass spectrometry (APCDI-MS).The collision-induced dissociation (CID) experiments and quantum chemistry calculation of negative ion HF clusters are performed to examine proton transfer reaction in HF clusters with negative atmospheric ions Y-.
