Investigation of GC medium polar capillary column for plasma metabolomics
In GC/MS based metabolomics, metabolite samples have been analyzed by the capillary column which chemically cross-linked 5 % diphenyl -95 % dimethylpolysiloxane after silylation. However, some metabolite peaks as being the important markers have overlapped on the chromatogram. That might induce miss-annotation. To avoid miss-annotation, visual verification is necessary. In the present study, 57 metabolites mixture sample for human plasma were subjectd to the analyses with three different type capillary columns (i.e., 5 % diphenyl -95 % dimethylpolysiloxane, 35 % diphenyl -65 % dimethylpolysiloxane, and 50 % diphenyl -50 % dimethylpolysiloxane) to optimize the GC/MS column condition for metabolomics.
