In this study, we investigated the non-targeted screening (NTS) method for compounds contained in automotive polypropylene using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC). The method has the potential to detect not only hazardous substances specified by the current regulations, but also unknown hazardous substances, decomposition products, and substances newly released into the environment, and can subsequently evaluate their harmfulness.
