Material selection significantly influences product performance and lifespan, necessitating a comprehensive examination of material properties for informed choices. While evaluation methods for materials are being established, there remain challenges in efficiently evaluating stability. In response, we have developed a stability evaluation method for unstable compounds by combining nanoESI, a highly soft ionization technique, with MS/MS measurements. In this study, we focused on biosensors monitoring NH4+ levels in sweat under physical exertion, aiming to select ionophores with binding ions that have minimal impact on electrical properties. Using nanoESI-MS/MS, we conducted stability evaluations of the binding ions of Nonactin and TD19D6 with NH4+. As a result, the stability of TD19D6-NH4+ was estimated to be relatively high. Based on the result, this method is expected to provide guidelines for material selection across various fields.
