We performed ion-mobility mass spectrometry (IM-MS) via electrospray ionization (ESI) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation for evaluating spacious size and steric conformation of a cation adducted polymer. According to Rayleigh limit model, which assumes that minimum spherical polymer chain coil with excess charge, yielded very good agreement with literature-known surface tension values. This methodology employed in this study has revealed the potential to determine the intrinsic surface tension of synthetic polymers without any external disturbances of solvents or impurities.of synthetic polymer from different type.
