臨床現場での課題解決を目的とした臨床現場におけるMSの活用

In recent years, with the advancement of mass spectrometry (MS) and related technologies, MS has started to be implemented in medical settings, leading to significant changes in our approach to addressing various issues. One notable development is the analysis of various metabolites' blood concentrations. In cases where extremely low concentrations of administered drugs are observed, various metabolites are analyzed. This allows for the evaluation of each patient's drug metabolism profile, aiding in considering treatment strategies.
As the next step, a method is contemplated to comprehensively predict patient-specific drug metabolism profiles by evaluating each patient's metabolic capacity, focusing on versatile pharmaceuticals. This approach holds the potential to enable precise dosage design before drug administration.
We are actively analyzing the metabolism profiles of certain anticancer and antibacterial drugs, targeting coadministered or previously used drugs. Based on the obtained data, the goal is to assess the feasibility of achieving high-precision blood concentration predictions for these drugs.
