The technology of mass spectrometry continues to advance in line with user requirements. One of the needs is to increase the sensitivity of quantitative analysis. The ability to quantify what was previously undetectable can improve many areas, including the elucidation of new life phenomena, the development of pharmaceuticals and the health and safety of our daily lives. The other is the qualitative analysis of compounds. The ability to elucidate the structure of previously unknown compounds using LC-MS/MS will make a significant contribution to the advancement of pharmaceutical science and chemistry, starting with life research. In this seminar, SCIEX technology and its applications will be presented in relation to these two points.
