塩化金酸塩を利用した低極性物質のLC/ESI/MSによる分析

In general, it is difficult to detect low polarity compounds by electrospray ionization (ESI), because they lack a functional group for protonation or deprotonation. Previously, I reported the electrospray mass spectrometric determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons using tropylium cation as a post-column HPLC reagent.1 In this study, I used sodium chloroaurate to accelerate ionization of low polarity compounds at ESI interface. The LC/ESI/MS analysis of low polarity compounds, such as perylene and pyrene, was achieved by the post column addition of sodium chloroaurate.
