Diagnosis of Reactive Species in Atmospheric Pressure Plasmas Using Mass Spectrometry
Reactive species generated by atmospheric pressure argon plasmas were investigated using an atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry (API-MS). In the negative ion mass spectra, NO-, NO3-, and NO3-HNO3 were observed, which are common negative ions generated by discharges in air. In addition to these ions, cluster ions of O2-, CO3-, HCO3- and HCO4- attached by H2O2 and HO2 were observed.
