Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI/MS) is widely used for the analysis of biomolecules and industrial materials. On the other hand, Surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization (SALDI) has focused due to its unique ionization capability. The SALDI is achievable through the nanostructured substrates used to promote the analyte desorption/ionization. In this study, metal film grown by lab-made mist chemical vapor deposition (mist CVD) system was used as ionization assistance materials for SALDI. We investigated the optimal deposition temperature conditions for the SALDI/MS with metal film by mist-CVD.
