Complex mixtures of various compounds are often used in material chemicals, and it is difficult to compare the details during degradation process. Therefore, many kinds of analytical approach and data processing are being attempted to obtain as much information as possible about the materials. LC/QTOF is one of the suitable analytical approaches to know such detailed chemical changes. In this study, we compared surfactant samples before and after degradation as a typical example of complex materials. In addition, industrial products made of polyurethane with different degrees of coloring due to aging, were evaluated for degradation analysis. To obtain meaningful insight in degradation analysis, we had verified and optimized the workflow of LC/QTOF data processing.
