In LC/MS/MS analysis of steroids, selected reaction monitoring (SRM) method has been used for highly sensitive and selective detection. The ion intensities of fragment ion generated from target precursor ion in LC/MS/MS are lower than those of the target ions obtained by LC/MS without fragmentation although those fragment ions give high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N). Additionally, the target fragment ions have to be determined before measurement in SRM. This means that SRM provide the less information. In this study, we suggest the mass spectrometry method with ion mobility for highly sensitive and selective non-target analysis.
