Simple pretreatment technique for the characterization of multicomponent polymers by MALDI-TOFMS
MALDI-TOFMS is suitable for polymer characterization. However, industrial polymer products are usually complex and frequently contain ionic and/or polar compounds such as poly(ethylene oxide) -based surfactants, which would obstruct the ionization of target components. In this study, a simple and rapid sample pretreatment procedure to remove/extract obstacle components has been developed.
