Steroid hormones are greatly involved in regulation of metabolism, neurotransmission, intracellular signal transduction and so on. Many kinds of steroid hormones are synthesized from cholesterol as raw materials and secreted from the adrenal cortex by various enzymes. It is possible to estimate synthetic pathways affected by chemical exposure from quantifying steroids in biological sample. In this study, we developed high-speed and high-sensitivity steroid analysis systems using LC-MS/MS.
