The structures of C3H3+ and C4H3+ were determined using home-build ion mobility/time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The ion mobility spectrometer (IMS) that has quadrupole ion guide with 3-segment plate electrodes has been assembled. The C3H3+ and C4H3+ ions were generated in our experiments by Ar plasma fragmentation of benzene vapor. We measured reduced mobility (K0) of C3H3+ and C4H3+. The structure of C3H3+ was cyclic and the structure of C4H3+ ion generated in our experiments has the linear structure. These structures were determined by average collision cross-sections using the trajectory calculations by MOBCAL software.
