Due to poor sensitivity of high resolution LC/MS, LC/MS/MS have been widely used to detect trace pesticide transformation products in water environments (PTPWs). Standard chemical reagents of PTPWs are needed to determine such as SRM, RT and ESI conditions for the LC/MS/MS analysis. But no reagents are often available for newly found PTPWs. Thus in this study, a method for detecting known PTPWs without reagents was developed by coupling high resolution LC/MS with LC/MS/MS. The developed method was applied to detect known PTPWs from the actual environmental samples.
