In this study, we investigated the correlation of the amount of desorbed neutral molecules with that of desorbed and ionized molecules in titanium oxide nanoparticle assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry. Two laser- (desorption laser and ionization laser) systems were applied to observe the amount of desorbed neutral molecules. Comparing with SALDI intensity, it is strongly suggested that the intensity has a strong relationship with the amount of neutral molecules.
