The laser desorption ionization of three stilbenes in the crystalline sponge was demonstrated. Analyte position in the pore and the interaction between the framework and the analyte could be determined by a single crystal X-ray analysis of the crystalline sponge. It was confirmed that the analyte encapsulated in the nano-pore with CH-π or π-π interaction is sufficiently ionized in the analyte/ligand ratio of 1 to 2.
