新規フラグメンテーション法”気相イオン水素付着解離(G-HAD)”の開発
Hydrogen attachment dissociation of gas-phase ions (G-HAD) was observed in a quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometry. The hydrogen radical was injected into the ion trap to react with isolated peptide ions. The G-HAD spectra showed extensive backbone cleavage of both protonated and deprotonated ions in the form of a-, c-, x- and z- type ions. The cracking efficiency of molecular hydrogen and the flux density of injected hydrogen radical were greater than 50% and 5×1014 atoms/cm2s-1 at the operating conditions, respectively. After irradiation with hydrogen radical, supplemental activation was applied to undissociated precursor ions to enhance G-HAD efficiency.
