The effectiveness of platinum vapor deposition surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization was investigated for the detection of mycophenolic acid and its glucuronide. The combination of Pt-sputtering, organic matrix DHB and polypropylene filter was suitable for the detection of mycophenolic acid glucuronide.
