This study was aimed at conducting target screening and semi-quantification of Japanese PRTR chemicals in wastewater samples based on a database (PRTR-DB) particularly focused on registering more fragment patterns without relying on instrument-dependent information such as retention time. As a result, total of 30 PRTR substances were registered to PRTR-DB. The registration process to the database and the attempt on semi-quantification were demonstrated using nonylphenol. As a whole, the developed method was indicated to be applicable for the target screening and semi-quantification in wastewater to the extent of screening.
