Adenylate kinase 1 (AK1) is a highly structural-conserved enzyme involved in energy metabolism and catalyzes the phosphoryl exchange reaction ATP + AMP ↔ 2ADP. Therefore, the interspecies predictions of AK1 activity depend on the static structure are very difficult. To elucidate common law of AK1 activities from many species, we analyzed interspecies similarity of structural dynamics of AK1 from E. coli, C. Intestinalis, X. laevis, G. gallus, H. Sapiens by MALDI based-H/D exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) and the calculation software “Scipas DX”.
