The derivatization of peptides usually needs a long reaction time and hence an on-line derivatization method is needed for a high-throughput analysis. In order to solve this problem, the accelerated derivatization in charged droplets has been attracted attention. We studied the on-line derivatization of peptides by tapping-mode scanning probe electrospray ionization (t-SPESI).
