¹³C-metabolic flux analysis (¹³C-MFA) using mass spectrometry is one of the methods for measuring metabolic flux. We applied this method for colorectal cancer cells including HCT116, WiDr and DLD-1 to extract features of central carbon metabolism of colorectal cancer cells. The Warburg effect was confirmed in all three cell lines. On the other hand, there was a difference in glutaminolysis, although glutamine uptake was approximately the same.
