Dark Current Discharge combined argon gas flow applied for ambient ionization. In Plasma based ionization, ion suppression effects occurred by NOx- species on their own highly deprotonation potential. Decreasing needle voltage is efficiently to decrease the NOx species, however it is to hard to change for conventional APCI source. Herein novel ionization dark current discharge was applied for negative mode ionization, lower NOx species enable deprotonated sample detection.
