Mass spectrometry imaging(MSI) is a powerful tool for visualize spatial distribution of molecules. Although MALDI-MSI is widely used in pharmacokinetics, metabolite analysis, biomarker search, it has several disadvantages in high sensitivity analysis or quantitative analysis. On the other hand, LC-MS is a great tool for high sensitivity quantitative analysis of molecules. However, LC-MS imaging is difficult in terms of sample preparation and throughput. In this study, we have developed high throughput LC-MS imaging system using thermal film-based laser microdissection and parallel LC.
