A metabolic response of the human breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) against a treatment of 4-hydroxytamoxfen (4-OHT) was investigated by the metabolic profiling analysis using GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and LC-q-ToF-MS. The results showed that the levels citrate and succinate decreased, fumarate and malate increased at 12 h, respectively, suggesting an inhibition of complex Ⅰ after the 4-OHT treatment.
